What mediates tubuloglomerular feedback? Current evidence support the role of ATP and adenosine as potential mediators. A new concept of ATP-adenosine axis in the juxtaglomerular apparatus explains the importance of both these molecules for tubuloglomerular feedback.

Where is macula densa located in the kidney? Is it located in the distal tubule or in the thick ascending limb?
